Gymnastics Jumps Four Spots In National Polls

The Wolfpack earned a team score of 194.700 in its first meet of the season

RALEIGH- After its 194.700 team score in its meet at Penn State on Saturday, the NC State gymnastics team jumped four spots in the national poll to No. 23, as released by RoadToNationals.com.

The Wolfpack's team total was enough to defeat Penn State, who earned a 194.125, for the first time in program history on its home turf. Collectively, the Pack earned individual wins on beam, floor and the all-around competition as well as seven top-three finishes on the day. Additionally, five gymnasts made a collegiate debut in the first meet of the season.

NC State will head to Las Vegas Thursday to face top-ranked LSU in the Lady Luck Invitational. The meet is set for a 10 p.m. ET start time inside South Point Hotel and Casino.Â
