Weather forced a postponement of Wednesday's match at No. 4 Coastal Carolina
UPDATED 9/29, 6:20 PM ET: No. 21 NC State's match Wednesday at Coastal Carolina has been canceled due to weather. Efforts to reschedule are being made. Makeup time and location TBD. GoPack.com will pass along any updates.
No. 21 Wolfpack men's soccer travels to No. 4 Coastal Carolina on Wednesday in a midweek battle between nationally-ranked opponents at 7 PM.
- NC State stayed at No. 22 in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25, released Tuesday. The bigger news came from the NSCAA poll, where the Pack entered the rankings at No. 21. NC State had been receiving votes in the NSCAA poll since near the beginning of the year, but had yet to crack the top 25. Featured now in both polls, NC State tangles with its second top 10 program of the year.
- The Wolfpack (6-2-1, 1-1-1 ACC) sit in a tie for third atop the ACC Atlantic Division standings following a road draw at No. 24 Louisville. State fell behind 1-0 late in the first half, before Simon Blotko found Philip Carmon for the equalizer just before the break.
- Coastal (6-0-1) represents one of seven remaining undefeated teams in Division I, sporting both its highest ranking in program history, and of any program in the history of the Big South Conference. Last season, the Chants escaped Raleigh with a 3-1 victory.
