Summer Golf: Past, Present And Future State Players Thriving

NC State women's golf players continue to find success on the summer golf circuit all over the world. Here's a roundup of recent Wolfpack success.
TAYLOR AMONG LEADERS AT EUROPEAN TEAM AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Rachael Taylor shot 3-under in two rounds of stroke play at the European Ladies Amateur Championship in Helsingor, Denmark. She stood tied for fifth among 125 players, firing consecutive rounds of 70 and 69.
Behind Taylor's play, Team Scotland is 13th among the 24 European teams competing and will head into match play against Team Slovenia.

OVERBEY QUALIFIES FOR CAROLINAS MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Cecily Overbey shot 72 to qualify for the match play portion of the Carolinas Match Play Championship at Cowans Ford in Stanley, N.C. She is the No. 7 overall seed in the 16-player field. The match play final is the morning of Thursday, July 9.

JAMES STANDS 8TH ON SYMETRA TOUR MONEY LIST
Former NC State standout Augusta James is currently eighth in the Volvik Race for the Card on the Symetra Tour. She recently shot even par to tie for 28th at the Island Resort Championship and 8-under to tie for 19th at the Tullymore Classic.

CLYBURN MAKES CUT AT LADIES EUROPEAN MASTERS
India Clyburn was one of just two amateur players to make the cut at the Ladies European Masters in Denham, England. Clyburn, an incoming freshman this fall, shot 8-over for the 72-hole event.
MARCHAND, KO NEAR THE TOP IN PORTER CUP
Early June's Porter Cup at Niagara Falls Country Club in New York saw past and future Wolfpackers near the top of the leaderboard. Former Pack standout Brittany Marchand (-1) shot 68 on the final day and tied for fourth place, while incoming freshman Naomi Ko (+1) tied for seventh.
