David Cooke Earns PING All-Region Honors

SARASOTA, Fla. -- David Cooke of the NC State men's golf team has been named to the Division I PING All-Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Saturday afternoon. Cooke is one of 155 players across six regions to earn the honor this season.
Cooke had a very strong 2014-15 season for the Wolfpack. He played all 12 tournaments and 34 rounds, ranked first on the team with a 72.2 stroke average, and earned four top-10 and four top-20 finishes. He claimed individual titles in two tournaments, recorded 15 rounds at or under par throughout the season, and 30 of his 34 rounds (88.2 percent) counted towards the team's score in competitions. His single-round mark of 65 in the second round of the Wolfpack Spring Open tied the single best round by a Wolfpack golfer during the entire season.
The Boilingbrook, Ill., native finished within the top 30 at both the 2015 ACC Championship (T28) and the 2015 NCAA New Haven Regional (T25th).
