NCAA Regional Begins for Wolfpack Thursday

RALEIGH -- For the seventh time in the last eight seasons, the NC State men's golf team is heading to the NCAA Regionals. The Wolfpack will compete at the Yale Regional in New Haven, Conn., from May 14-16.
THE SEASON
Currently ranked 45th in the May 4 GolfStat relative rankings, the Wolfpack posted an impressive 90-55-3 competitive record throughout the 2014-15 season. NC State claimed two tournament titles throughout the year and finished within the top third of tournament fields on six occasions. Individually, junior David Cooke claimed two medalist honors and the squad combined for 17 individual top-20 results.

THE COURSE
Ranked as the No. 1 college golf course in the country, the Course at Yale is a very challenging test for those who take it on. For the purposes of the NCAA Regional, it will play a par of 70 over 6,803 yards.

THE ULTIMATE GOAL
From the conclusion of the NCAA Regionals, 30 teams (top five from each of the six sites) will advance to the 2015 NCAA Golf Championship (May 29 -- June 3) at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. The University of South Florida will serve as the tournament host.
