Perry Wins ACC Performer of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Alexis Perry has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women's Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Perry excelled in both track and field events at the Duke Twilight on her way to three first-place finishes.
She hit her second-best mark of the season in 100 hurdles at 13.23. seconds The junior dominated both the preliminary and the final heats of competition. She finished three-tenths of a second ahead of her closest competitor in the finals.
Perry also had a strong showing in the long jump, finishing with a distance of 6.36 meters (20-10 ½). The jump is her highest mark of the season and ranks 10th in the NCAA and second in the ACC.
Perry was also recognized earlier in the indoor season, garnering Field Performer of the Week honors. This is the third time in her career she has won the accolade and the eighth honor of the 2015 calendar year for NC State student-athletes.
