Pack Begins ACC Championships on Friday

RALEIGH -- Following a comfortable team and individual victory at the 2015 Wolfpack Spring Open, the NC State men's golf team returns to action this weekend at the 2015 ACC Championships. The three-day tournament will be played at Old North State Country Club in New London, N.C.
Paired with Notre Dame and Boston College, NC State golfers will tee off between 8:30 -- 9:10 a.m. on Friday morning. Tee times will span from 8:30 a.m. -- 12:10 p.m. on Saturday and from 8:30 -- 10:10 a.m. on Sunday.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
The tournament will be carried on ESPN3 from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
THE COURSE
Old North State Club is located in the prestigious, gated community of Uwharrie Point outside of Charlotte, N.C. In its opening year, the course was awarded the No. 2 ranking in Golf Digest's "Best New Private Courses in America." For the purposes of the ACC Championships, the course will play a par of 72 over 7,102 yards.
THE HISTORY 
NC State has won one team ACC Championship in program history, earning top league honors in 1990 at Northgreen Country Club in Rocky Mount, N.C. Wolfpack golfers have won individual ACC titles on six occasions, as Vance Heafner (1974), Todd Smith (1979), Nolan Mills (1983), Kelly Mitchum (1991), Hank Kim (1995), and Matt Hill (2009) have each earned medalist honors.

TEAM INFORMATION
NC State enters the 2015 ACC Championships the owner of an 87-47-3 record on the season. The Wolfpack has won two tournaments throughout the 2014-15 campaign and has finished within the top third of a tournament field on six occasions. NC State golfers have earned a combined 17 top-20 individual finishes this season and have carded 55 rounds at or below par.
