
Pack Ties For 8th At ACC Championship

GREENSBORO - Cecily Overbey registered a top-20 showing and the NC State women's golf team tied for eighth at the ACC Championship in Greensboro.
Overbey (69-75-74--218) tied for 17th in the 55-player field, her first career top-20 showing. Rachael Taylor (75-72-72--219) fired back-to-back rounds of 72 to climb the leaderboard and finish tied for 21st overall.
Lindsay McGetrick (76-74-73--223) improved with each round to tie for 31st. Vivian Tsui (76-74-78--228) tied for 40th and Stephanie Pribonic (79-78-77--234) tied for 50th.
Virginia placed three players in the top four and cruised to the title by 26 shots over Duke. UNC-Chapel Hill, Wake Forest and Florida State tied for third. Duke's Leona Maguire won a playoff over Virginia's Briana Mao in the second hole of sudden-death play.
NC State, ranked 42nd in the GolfStat rankings heading into this weekend, will be the host school for the NCAA East Regional May 7-9 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course. The NCAA Women's Golf Selection Show will be the evening of Monday, April 27.
