No. 36 NC State Prepped For Final Road Swing

RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 36 NC State men's tennis team will face a trio of opponents in the final weekend of its regular season. On Thursday NC State will play Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., at 9 a.m. and Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass., at 3:30 p.m. The Pack will conclude the road trip at Notre Dame on Saturday, April 18th at 1 p.m.
Pack in the Polls:
NC State checks in at No. 36 in the latest ITA poll. Robbie Mudge leads all players in the rankings at No. 54, while No. 92 Austin Powell and No. 104 Simon Norenius round out the singles rankings. Mudge and Ian Dempster continue to stay ranked in doubles checking in at No. 24.
Scouting Bryant University:
Bryant University holds a 6-10 (2-1 NEC) record on the season. Matt Kuhar leads the team with with a 10-5 record this dual season. Last time out, Bryant University defeated Sacred Heart, 6-1.
Scouting Boston College:
Boston College enters the weekend with an 8-15 (0-10 ACC) record. Last time out, the Eagles fell just short in a 4-3 loss to Clemson.
Scouting Notre Dame:
No. 37 Notre Dame is the highest ranked opponent of the weekend. No. 9 Quentin Monaghan leads the team in singles while Alex Lawson and Billy Pecor are the nation's 12th-ranked doubles pair. No. 30 Eddy Covalschi and Josh Hagar round out the rankings for the Fighting Irish.
Notre Dame holds a 13-9 (5-5 ACC) record. Last weekend the Irish defeated Clemson, 4-3, in a tightly contested match.
Last Time Out:
The Pack closed out senior day in winning fashion with a pair of shutout victories. The team defeated Miami, 7-0, and Charlotte, 4-0, in a Sunday doubleheader.
