
Pack Gymnastics Earns Five Top-Five Finishes Saturday Evening

ANN ARBOR, Mich.- After facing the highest-ranked opponent on its 2015 schedule, the NC State gymnastics team came away with four top-five finishes Saturday evening versus No. 6 Michigan inside the Crisler Center.
The Wolverines posted a meet score of 197.250, while the Wolfpack earned a 194.800 in its first of four straight road meets.
Uneven Bars
Brittni Watkins and Michaela Woodford each earned scores of 9.750 to tie for fifth on bars and lead the Pack to a team score of 48.575 in its first rotation of the night.
Nicole Wild and Amanda Fillard both notched marks of 9.700 to assist in NC State's bars total.
Vault
The Wolfpack continued its success on vault, as it earned a team score of 49.075 and didn't count a score less than 9.750 for the third consecutive meet of the season.
Watkins tied her career-high mark of 9.925 to take first in the event, while Chelsea Knight posted a 9.875 to tie for third place with Michigan's Talia Chiarelli and Austin Sheppard.
Floor Exercise
Watkins earned a 9.850 on floor to take fifth and help the Pack post a a team score of 48.875 in its third rotation of the evening.
Woodford tied her career-high mark, charting a score of 9.825 to take sixth in the individual event standings.
Balance Beam
Lane Jarred earned a mark of 9.775 to earn a sixth-place finish, while the Pack posted a team score of 48.275.
Fillard, Knight and Woodford each followed Jarred with scores of 9.700 to tie for seventh.
All-Around Competition
Woodford took third in the all-around competition with a cumulative score of 39.050.

NC State will continue its four-match road slate when it travels to Seattle, Wash., to face Washington on March 6. Competition is slated for a 10 p.m. ET start inside Alaskan Airlines Arena.
