No. 13 Wolfpack Women Ready to Take on ACC Championship

RALEIGH, N.C.- After a two-week break from competition, the NC State women's swimming and diving team is ready to compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women's Swimming and Diving Championship, hosted by Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga., on Feb. 18-21.
There will be a preliminary session at 10 a.m., followed by a finals session at 6 p.m. each day. The finals sessions on days two through four of the championships will be streamed live on ESPN3.

"The ladies are looking forward to competing in the ACC Championships this week, representing NC State and hopefully improving upon many of their entry times and rankings heading into the competition. Across the board its a big team battle with a lot of different schools, which will make for a great competition here in Atlanta. The ladies have worked hard and are ready to perform and have fun. Last Time Out
The women competed in its final dual meet of the season, as the team hosted conference opponent UNC-Chapel Hill inside Casey Aquatic Center. NC State narrowly fell to the Tar Heels 146.5 to 134.5.
Several pool records were broken during the team's final meet of the season, while diver Rachel Mumma broke her own school record in the one-meter diver competition with a score of 332.32.
The Wolfpack will enter the conference championship listed at No. 13 in the CSCAA national rankings.
Scouting the ACC
Four of the conference's 13 squads rank among the top 25 in the CSCAA polls. Along with the Pack, Virginia ranks eighth in the nation while UNC-Chapel Hill and Louisville check in at No. 9 and 20, in respective order.
NC State has faced five ACC opponents throughout the 2014-15 season, accumulating a 3-3 record in conference matchups. The team defeated Florida State and Georgia Tech in a tri-meet as well as Duke at the Nike Cup in November, while falling to UNC-CH in its two meetings and to Virginia in a dual meet.
