
#STATEment Road Win: Pack Wins At Louisville

LOUISVILLE - NC State went on the road and made its #STATEment. The Wolfpack defeated No. 9/8 Louisville 74-65 at the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday.
NC State (15-11, 6-7) was led by Anthony 'Cat' Barber's 21 points. Trevor Lacey added 14 points. The Wolfpack added to its postseason resume, claiming its second win of the season against a team ranked in the top 10.
The Pack handled Louisville's vaunted defensive pressure and only committed eight turnovers. NC State was also +10 on the boards against the Cardinals, with BeeJay Anya and Caleb Martin each grabbing 10 boards off the bench.
Louisville (20-5, 8-4) was led by Chris Jones' 20 points. Wayne Blackshear added 19.
Chris Jones' steal and layup on the other end pulled Louisville to within 57-52 with 7:06 to play before the Cardinals missed nine straight shots. The Wolfpack led 63-53 at the 4:11 mark and had just five turnovers before committing three in 39 seconds to give Louisville a chance. Blackshear's jumper with 1:20 left cut the lead to 65-61. Barber found Anya for a dunk on the next possession and hit seven of eight free throws attempts in the last minute to seal the win.
