@PackWrestle Begins 2015-16 Campaign at Northeast Duals

RALEIGH, N.C. - The 12th-ranked NC State wrestling team begins its 2015-16 season this weekend, as the Wolfpack will travel to Troy, N.Y., and compete at the 2015 Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals on Sunday.
In the preseason team rankings, the Wolfpack checks in at #9 by FloWrestling, #10 by Wrestling Report, #12 in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll, and #12 by InterMat.
The Pack starts the 2015-16 campaign with five of its 10 starters ranked in the top-20 by every major publication:

The Pack will competing in three duals on Sunday: Army (9:20 a.m.), #16 Minnesota (11:15 a.m.) and Sacred Heart (1:15 p.m.).
The NC State-Minnesota match-up will be one of the top duals of the event. The Golden Gophers are off to a 3-0 start, including a win over defending ACC Champion Virginia (19-15), and feature four wrestlers ranked in the top-20 according to FloWrestling.
Two of the matchups in the Minnesota dual will feature a battle of ranked foes. At 141 pounds, NC State's Jack will face #19 RS-Fr. Tommy Thorn and at 285 pounds, NC State's Gwiazdowski will face #7 Jr. Michael Kroells. In their only previous matchup, Gwiazdowski defeated Kroells 6-1 at the 2014 Southern Scuffle in the second round.
