Horton defeats Vasileios Iliopoulos in straight sets

MANSFIELD, Texas – For the second consecutive day, Nick Horton defeated an opponent in straight sets to advance further into qualifying at the Futures of Mansfield. The junior defeated Vasileios Iliopoulos of Greece, 6-1, 7-5.

Horton is the fifth-ranked player in the qualifying draw, and will aim to make his second-straight appearance in a main draw on Monday.

The Australian will be back in action on Monday in the finals of the qualifying draw. He will face off against former Rice standout Jonathan Chang. This year, Chang has picked up one ITF main draw win.
