The Pack will open its season Jan. 9 at Penn State
RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State gymnastics team held its first preseason intrasquad meet Friday afternoon at its practice facility inside Carmichael Gymnasium.
The team competed in the meet as if it was official, including wearing meet attire (leotards).
Of the Wolfpack's roster the team has 12 returners, four of which are seniors. The program added two to its squad in the fall. Having a roster loaded with competition experience, the Pack looks forward to it's strong schedule and earning its 14th-straight bid to the NCAA Regional Championship.

On thoughts of the team's first intrasquad of the season
"I saw a lot of potential and I feel like we are very prepared. We looked really clean in all of our passes and we're very confident in what we're doing. Our two freshman did their routines in all four events today and did very well under pressure. Overall, today was really impressive."
On preparation for competition season
"We're still conditioning a lot, and are pushing through everyday to get better. We're really focusing on our skills and routines in preparation for January, and are all excited that the season is almost here."
NC State will open its season Jan. 9 when it faces Penn State on the road. The meet is set for a 4 p.m. start time.
