No. 10 Rifle Primed for Busy Weekend at The Citadel

Wolfpack to compete in three matches this weekend
RALEIGH, N.C. – The 10th-ranked NC State rifle team will head to Charleston, S.C., this weekend for a trio of matches held in The Citadel's rifle range. The Wolfpack will face seventh-ranked Nebraska and compete in the third South Eastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) match Saturday.

Sunday the Pack will conclude action at The Citadel by taking on the host Bulldogs.

NC State enters the weekend undefeated with a perfect 7-0 mark on the year, including a 4-0 record in the SEARC and 1-0 clip in the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC). Nebraska is 1-3 overall and 1-2 in GARC action, while The Citadel is 7-3 overall and 7-2 versus SEARC competition.

Last Time Out
In its last outing of the season, NC State enjoyed a record-breaking performance to shoot up the rankings to No. 10 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll. The Wolfpack defeated No. 14 Navy in Annapolis, Md., by a score of 4654-4620.

In the process, the Pack broke the program record in team air rifle, smallbore and total team score. Junior Lucas Kozeniesky also set a school record by firing a 594 in air rifle, besting his previous school record of 591.

Wolfpackers to Debut New Shooting Suits
Three members of the NC State rifle team will wear new custom fit HiTex all black shooting suits. The suits arrived this week for Kozeniesky and sophomores Caitlyn Ford and Derya Pekari.

In the future, other members of the squad will have their current suits upgraded to the custom HiTex suits.
