NC State Drops Road Test Against Miami 65-60

MIAMI - NC State led 33-26 at halftime but Miami came out of a defensive battle on top to defeat the Wolfpack men's basketball team 65-60 Thursday night at Bank United Center.
Miami (13-5, 3-2) held the Pack to 27 points on 11-for-30 shooting in the second half. NC State (13-7, 4-3) was led by Abdul-Malik Abu's career night of 19 points on 9-for-14 shooting. Miami's Sheldon McClellan led Hurricanes with 14 points and eight rebounds. NC State shot just 26-for-60 in the game and attempted just four free throws.
Abuuuuuuuu: Abu had his career high in scoring just 8:48 into the game. The 6-8 freshman scored the first 12 points for NC State and 14 of the team's first 18. His previous career high was 11 points, which came in December vs. Charleston Southern.
Game Of Runs: Miami led 24-18 in the first half before NC State finished with a flurry. A 15-2 Wolfpack run gave it a 33-26 halftime lead. After the break, Miami countered with a 12-2 to start the second half.
