Marchand, James Help Canada To World Am Lead

KARUIZAWA, Japan - NC State's Brittany Marchand and Augusta James have helped Team Canada to the top of the World Team Amateur Championship. The Canadian team leads the tournament by two shots after 36 holes.
In the tournament format, each team plays with three players and the top two scores count toward the team total. Each Wolfpack player has had a round counted. Marchand (71-70--141) shot a 2-under 70 on the second day. James (69-76--145) opened the tournament with a 3-under 69 that included five birdies.
Canadian teammate Brooke Henderson, the No. 2 amateur in the world rankings, is the tournament leader, shooting consecutive rounds of 66 and 69.
With 36 holes remaining, Canada (274) leads Japan (276) by two shots, followed by Korea (277). Spain and Sweden are tied for fourth.
