OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - The NC State men’s tennis team concluded the final day of competition Sunday at the Olympia Fields Country Club Fighting Illini Invite, as the four players competing for the Wolfpack notched a total of four victories throughout the day.
Doubles Notables
- The Pack earned wins in both of its two doubles matches on the day.
- The tandem of Thomas Weigel and Nick Horton defeated Miami’s duo of Wilfredo Gonzalez and Piotr Lomacki, while the tandem of Robbie Mudge and Beck Bond won their match against Kentucky’s team of Jerry Lopez and Gus Benson.
Singles Notables
- Bond and Weigel each earned victories in singles action. Bond defeated Nicolas Montoya of Notre Dame in straight sets, while Weigel edged Kentucky’s Lopez.
