Pack Pro Tim Clark Wins RBC Canadian Open

ÎLE BIZARD, Quebec – Former NC State men’s golfer Tim Clark had a very good weekend. The Durban, South Africa, native picked up the second PGA Tour victory of his career, winning the 2014 RBC Canadian Open on Sunday with a four-round score of 263 (-17).
For the victory, Clark collects $1,026,000 in prize money and 500 FedEx Cup points.
Clark was incredibly consistent over the course of four days at the Royal Montreal Golf Club’s Blue Course, shooting at least three strokes below par each round. His 64 (-6) on Saturday was merely one stroke off the best round achieved (63) by anyone in the entire tournament field.
Trailing by three strokes heading into the final round, Clark recorded birdies on five of the last eight holes to defeat Jim Furyk (-16) by one stroke.
“It looked like Jim wasn’t going to make any mistakes,” Clark told ESPN.com Sunday. “He was pretty solid, so I knew I had to make birdies. At that point, there was nothing to lose. Suddenly I got hot and I went with it.”
Clark’s first PGA Tour victory was in 2010 at the Players Championship.
