RALEIGH, N.C. – Tanna Aljoe, a junior setter on the NC State volleyball team, spent the first month of her summer in Vietnam teaching English and coaching volleyball to the kids in the schools through a program called Coach for College.
The goal of the Coach for College program is to promote higher education through sports by providing a series of role models for kids to encourage them to go to college and achieve academically. The camps teach academics, sports and life skills to kids in rural areas of Vietnam.
GoPack.com caught up with Aljoe after she returned from her trip and the Grapevine, Texas native recaps her experience in the video.
