RALEIGH, N.C. - Felicia Hall Allen recently spoke to the Wolfpack Leadership Academy participants and members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee on the topic “Leaders Don’t Walk Alone”. As a former student athlete, Ms. Hall was able to relay her experiences and those of other great leaders in sports and business to NC State student athlete leaders.
In it’s second year, the Wolfpack Leadership Academy has over 140 student-athletes who are participants in the Emerging, Veterans, and Leadership 360 teams, facilitated by Jeff Jannssen.
“I’ve always have had many questions on how to be an effective leader, and last night, Felicia answered all of them,” said freshman Tony Adams of the football team. “Her story and her presence made me admire everything that she represented. Her being an African American female especially inspired me and made me realize that REAL leaders WILL be successful and WILL go far in life.
“The thing that really stuck with me during the speech were the stories of great leaders and how they were all extremely successful, but they all had people or teammates in their lives that also led with them, and they how they never did anything alone.”
