RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State swimmer Julianna Prim has been awarded a Carolina Panthers Scholarship from the Foundation of the Carolinas.
Prim, the school record holder in the 200 butterfly, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, NC State's highest academic honor, in 2012.
The Carolina Panthers award two $10,000 scholarships each year to outstanding student-athletes who have completed their undergraduate work and are seeking support for their graduate level studies.
The Yadkinville, N.C., native is also a two-time All-ACC Academic team selection who owns the second fastest 200 freestyle time in Wolfpack history.
Scholarships are awarded to one male and one female student-athlete in North Carolina or South Carolina on the basis of leadership, citizenship and academic merit. Past scholarship winners are now working in medicine, politics, law and education.
