NC State McMurray Family Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan has announced that Colin Hargis will return to the program as Deputy Athletic Director/Chief Revenue Officer. Hargis, who has spent the past two years as Director of Athletics at Florida Gulf Coast University, will be responsible for external relations as well as football sport supervision.
Â
"Colin is an innovative thinker with great instincts and I'm grateful that he has decided to return to Wolfpack Athletics," said Corrigan. "Throughout his career, he has consistently developed successful, creative revenue generation strategies and I look forward to him finding new opportunities for growth in our department. His experience as an AD has given him additional insight that will make him very successful in this role."
Â
Todd Stansbury, who has served as Deputy AD for internal operations since 2023, has announced his retirement. Deputy AD Stephanie Menio, who has led the external operations units since 2019, will now have oversight on the internal side of the department and serve as Chief Operating Officer.
Â
Hargis has two prior stints with Wolfpack Athletics external relations, most recently from 2014-24. During that period, he led the Wolfpack ticket office before moving into the role as Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.
Â
"First and foremost, I want to thank Boo Corrigan for this leadership opportunity," said Hargis. "He is at the forefront of our industry, and I'm grateful to once again serve on his leadership team at NC State. It's a privilege and an honor to return home to support our student‑athletes and contribute to the success of NC State and Wolfpack Nation. Go Pack!"
Â
During his time at FGCU, the Eagles excelled in the classroom, in competition and in the community. Student-athletes achieved record-breaking academic success in back-to-back semesters, posting a department-best 3.52 GPA in Spring 2025 and a 3.57 GPA in Fall 2025.
Â
In competition, the Eagles captured a combined 11 ASUN regular season and tournament championships, earned six ASUN Coach of the Year honors, and had five NCAA tournament appearances under Hargis' leadership. The department was also recognized with the ASUN's prestigious Bibb and Day trophies, distinguishing FGCU as the conference's top overall athletics program and top women's program in 2024–25.
Â
In the community, FGCU student-athletes made a meaningful impact in Southwest Florida, contributing over 1,000 service-learning hours each academic year.
Â
Hargis also spearheaded significant growth initiatives across the department. FGCU partnered with Playfly Aspire to elevate sales, service, and NIL opportunities for student-athletes. In collaboration with the FGCU Foundation, the department launched a $3 million matching gift campaign in 2025 and raised over $1 million during the 2024 Night at the Nest gala, a record-setting fundraising milestone. Additionally, enhanced university partnerships led to a 40 percent increase in scholarship support, benefiting all 15 FGCU athletic programs.
Â
During his previous time as a member of NC State Athletics' executive leadership team, Hargis led revenue generation initiatives that produced more than $27 million annually. The department set records for revenue growth, including 327% in women's basketball, surpassing $500,000 for the first time, and 15% growth in men's basketball as the team exceeded $7.5 million. Hargis also managed the school's multimedia rights partnership with Learfield and was responsible for NC State's Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) efforts. He established an NIL position to enhance student-athlete and department success in NIL endeavors while also implementing student-athlete NIL curriculum and programming.
Â
Hargis also served as the sport supervisor for men's basketball for the Wolfpack, which won the 2024 ACC Championship and reached the NCAA Men's Final Four for the first time since winning the national title in 1983. He also served as sport supervisor for the Wolfpack's nationally-ranked men's and women's tennis teams. During his time with the tennis programs, the women won the 2023 ACC Championship and reached the NCAA National Championship match, finishing as national runner-up.

Â
From 2009-14, Hargis worked in several roles at the University of South Florida, beginning as an assistant athletics director for ticket operations before being promoted to associate athletics director for ticket sales and operations in 2013.
