Wolfpack Earns Sixth-Straight Top-25 Learfield Directors’ Cup Finish

RALEIGH – NC State athletics finished the season at No. 22 in the 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup, as announced Thursday.
This marks the sixth straight top-25 finish for the Wolfpack in the Learfield Directors' Cup, as well as the seventh overall top-25 showing in school history.
NC State finished the season with eight teams in the top-25 in their respective sports. This also includes six teams with top-10 finishes, which marks the second consecutive season NC State has logged six top-10 season-ending showings.
The women's cross country team won the NCAA Championship for the fourth time in five years and the Wolfpack had three individual national champions with Isaac Trumble (wrestling, 285 pounds), Eneli Jefimova (women's swimming & diving, 100 breaststroke) and Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe (women's tennis doubles).Â
The men's soccer team finished as the NCAA runner-up after making the College Cup for the first time in school history. Additionally, the women's tennis team won its second ACC Championship in program history and went to the Elite Eight. Women's cross country also won its 30th ACC title, as well as its ninth straight NCAA Southeast Regional Championship.
NC State was one of just seven schools in the country, and one of two in the ACC, to have its football team make a bowl game, its men's and women's basketball teams make the NCAA Tournament and its baseball program receive a bid into an NCAA Regional.
The athletic department is also succeeding academically with 21 of the University's 22 athletic programs finishing the fall 2025 semester with a 3.0 GPA or above. NC State student-athletes finished the spring semester with a 3.23 cumulative GPA.
