Pair of Pack Pros Records Strong Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. – Though the NC State men’s golf team had a weekend free from tournament play from March 28-30, that doesn’t mean Wolfpack golfers weren’t making their mark elsewhere. Former NC State golfers Garth Mulroy and Carl Pettersson recorded strong finishes on the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour, respectively, this past weekend.

Garth Mulroy | T5 (-12) | Web.com Tour| Earnings: $18,012
Mulroy finished play at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open Sunday with his second best round of the tournament, collecting five birdies en route to shooting a 67 (-4). His 66 (-5) during the second round ranked among some of the top rounds at the competition.

Carl Pettersson | T16 (-1) | PGA Tour | Earnings: $78,740
Pettersson began the tournament with a 70 (-2) and remained steady throughout, never finishing a round more than one stroke over par. The 71 (-1) he shot in the third round marked his second round below par at the competition.
