Pack Primed for Florida Swing

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men’s tennis team will embark on its first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) road trip of the dual season, as the squad travels to Florida State and Miami. The match against the Seminoles is slated to begin at 5 p.m., on Friday, March 21, while the match against the Hurricanes is slated for an 11 a.m. start time on Sunday, March 23.
Last time out, the Pack dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to then-No. 11 North Carolina. State captured the doubles point for the 11th time this season. Nick Horton and Sean Weber also posted singles victories.
Florida State enters Friday’s match with a 12-5 ledger this season and listed No. 24, as the team earned a 5-2 victory against Clemson on Tuesday. The last time the Wolfpack and ‘Noles met on the tennis courts, State picked up a 5-2 victory in Raleigh.
No. 72 Miami enters the weekend with a 10-4 record on the season, as the squad last defeated Wisconsin, 4-0, on Monday. Last season, State defeated Miami, 5-2, in Raleigh.
