Wolfpack Diving Wraps Up Tri-Meet Competition in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Rachel Mumma finished first overall on the one-meter springboard, as Mumma and Gabrielle McDermott represented the NC State diving program in a tri-meet Saturday against Clemson and Richmond at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Radman’s Report
On the team’s overall performance
“I saw some things that I liked, but we have a lot of work to do to get to the point where we need to be at,” said head diving coach Yahya Radman.
On the performance of Rachel Mumma
“Rachel [Mumma] rebounded very nicely on the one-meter after the three-meter competition. I think she has a lot of potential.”
On performance of Gabrielle McDermott
“Gabi [Gabrielle] did very well considering she only had a few days to work with me. She showed that she has a lot of promise and I look forward to continuing to work with her.”
Springboard Action
- Mumma finished first overall in the one-meter competition with a score of 290.20, while McDermott completed the event with a score of 204.65. Mumma’s score of 290.20 was good for a zone qualifying mark.
- Mumma finished the one-meter competition with a 230.45 total, while McDermott notched a score of 209.60.
Up Next
NC State will travel to Charlottesville, Va., for a dual meet at ACC foe Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 15. The meet is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
