Women's Tennis Concludes Play at Wake Forest Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The NC State women’s tennis team concluded play at the Wake Forest Invitational on Sunday.
Day Three Highlights
-Elisha Hande and Ashleigh Capannolo each won their consolation singles matches Sunday in their respective brackets. Hande defeated UNCG’s Soumeya Anane, 6-0, 6-2, while Capannolo defeated Davidson’s Cassidy Shell, 7-5, 6-7, 7-6.

A Doubles (Championship): Asch/Guerin (WFU) def. Hande/Stenta (NCST), 8-5
Final Round Singles
A Singles (Consolation): Elisha Hande (NCST) def. Soumeya Anane (UNCG), 6-0, 6-2
B Singles (Consolation): Andreanna Christopoulou (WKU) def. Tayla Stenta (NCST), 6-1, 7-5
C Singles (Consolation): Monica Aguado (WIN) def. Taylor Zaytoun (NCST), 6-1, 6-1
E Singles (Consolation): Ashleigh Capannolo (NCST) def. Cassidy Shell (DAV), 7-5, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (5)
