Boffa Garners ACC Male Swimmer of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – Jonathan Boffa of the NC State swimming & diving team captured the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Male Swimmer of the Week honor, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Boffa secured ACC Male Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, as he previously earned the accolade on Oct. 29. The senior enjoyed a strong weekend against 10th-ranked Georgia, as he posted a first-place finish in each of the four races he competed in throughout the afternoon. Individually, he won the 100 freestyle (44.37) and the 200 freestyle (1:38.59). In addition, he was also on the winning 200 medley relay (1:28.46) and 400 free relay (2:58.23) teams.

NC State will return to the pool inside the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center on Jan. 10 against Villanova. The meet is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
