DURHAM, N.C. - Despite a 23-point, eight-rebound effort from T.J. Warren, NC State basketball fell to Duke, 95-60 at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolfpack (11-7, 1-4 ACC) led early, but the 23rd-ranked Blue Devils (14-4, 3-2) charged ahead 22-16 by the 10:39 mark of the first half. State rallied to keep a manageable deficit through halftime, before a 15-2 run culminating with 5:39 left in the contest helped Duke seal the outcome.
Warren matched Duke's Jabari Parker with 23 points on the afternoon, coming on a 9-for-19 shooting performance over 37 minutes, while chipping in eight rebounds. Warren represented the Pack's lone double-digit scoring effort.
A young Wolfpack squad hung with the Devils' interior, finishing with 32 rebounds to Duke's 35 and 38 points in the paint to the Blue Devils' 42. Duke outshot the Pack and created more easy baskets, going 11-for-24 (45.8%) from three while forcing 21 turnovers.
NC State returns to action on Monday at 9 p.m. to host Maryland at PNC Arena, the start of a three-game homestand for the Wolfpack.
