Wolfpack Completes Day Two at Bulldog Classic

ATHENS, Ga. - The NC State women's tennis team wrapped up day two of play at the Bulldog Classic on Saturday, winning a total of five matches at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Senior Joelle Kissell and senior Christy Sipes each won their respective singles and doubles matches to notch a pair of wins for the Wolfpack. Kissell teamed with freshman Liza Fieldsend for the second straight day, defeating Ingrid Vojcinakova and Marijana Novakovic of Old Dominion, 8-4 to garner a doubles win.
Sipes paired up with Sophie Nelson to defeat Melissa Esnal Olguin and Nika Khmolovska of Old Dominion, 8-3 in the Pack's other doubles victory.
In singles play No. 45 Kissell defeated Kayla Rizzolo of South Florida, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, while Sipes won her match over Loreto Alonso-Martinez of South Florida, 1-0 after Alonso-Martinez was forced to retire.
In the Wolfpack's other singles victory, Nelson defeated Hailey Grillo of South Florida, 4-6, 7-5, 6-0.
Play concludes at the Bulldog Classic on Sunday with matches set to start at 10 a.m.
