Track and Field Ends NCAA's With Seven All-Americans

EUGENE, Ore. - Redshirt senior Ryan Hill, redshirt junior Andrew Colley and redshirt sophomore Tremanisha Taylor each earned second-team All-America recognition as NC State concluded competition on the final day of the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Oregon.
Running in his final collegiate race, Hill clocked a 3:52.06 time in the men's 1,500-meter event to finish in ninth place. The Hickory, N.C., native finishes his college career with 10 All-America awards - seven of which came during the track and field season while the other three were achieved in cross country.
Hill's seven track All-America awards rank third in the history of NC State's men's track and field program. During his track career, Hill earned All-America honors three times in the indoor 3,000-meters (2011-13), two times in the outdoor 1,500-meters (2012-13), once in the indoor mile (2013) and once in the outdoor 5,000-meters (2010).
Making his first appearance in an NCAA Final, Colley turned in a 14:06.94 in the men's 5,000-meter run and finished in 12th place to earn his second-team All-America recognition. The honor is his first as a collegiate track runner, but he has won three awards in cross country competition.
Taylor, competing in the women's shot put, recorded a 52' 9.50" (16.09m) throw and finished 15th overall. Taylor became the first student-athlete to earn All-America honors in the women's shot put in program history.
NC State concludes its season with seven All-Americans for the outdoor campaign.
Several State student-athletes will compete in the 2013 U.S.A. Track and Field Championships, which will take place June 19-23 in Des Moines, Iowa.
