NC State Sends Eight to USA Track & Field Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State will send eight student-athletes to Des Moines, Iowa, for the 2013 USA Track & Field Championships, which will be held June 19-23 at Drake University.
Seniors Ryan Hill (1,500-meter run), Brian Himelright (steeplechase) and Kris Kornegay-Gober (high jump) will line up in the championship meet with hopes of earning spots to represent Team USA at the IAAF World Championships, which will take place August 10-18 in Moscow, Russia.
The four additional student-athletes representing NC State will compete in the junior championships. That list includes freshmen Alexis Perry (100-meter hurdles), Ariah Graham (400-meter dash), Megan Moye (1,500-meter run) and Craig Engels (1,500-meter run). The top finishers in the junior championships will advance to Medellin, Colombia to compete August 23-25.
