BLACKSBURG, Va. – NC State freshman Alexis Perry accumulated 3,451 points and recorded a sixth-place finish in the women’s pentathlon Thursday afternoon during the first day action at the 2013 ACC Indoor Championships.
Perry, the only athlete competing for the Wolfpack Thursday, opened the day with a third-place showing in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.76. The Durham, N.C., native followed up with a 5’ 5.00” leap in the high jump, which was good for second.
In the third event of the day, Perry set a personal best in the shot put with a 30’ 2.25” heave and placed 12th. With two events remaining, Perry made a final push, posting an 18’ 3.75” measurement in the long jump to finish fourth.
