Wolfpack Wraps Up Solid Day at CofC Halloween Challenge

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - The NC State women's tennis team completed a solid day at the College of Charleston Halloween Challenge at the College of Charleston Tennis Center in Mount Pleasant, S.C., winning four matches on day two of tournament play.
The Wolfpack freshman pair of Natalia Janowicz and Liza Fieldsend claimed a doubles victory for the second consecutive day, defeating Charlotte Dervyshire and Evy Van Genechten of Denver by a score of 8-1. Janowicz and Fieldsend also won their respective singles matches, as Janowicz took down Rachael Morales of Marshall, 6-2, 6-3 and Fieldsend defeated Mara Argyriou of College of Charleston, 6-3, 6-4.
Sophie Nelson claimed State's other win on the day, defeating Samantha Maddox of College of Charleston by the score of 6-4, 6-2. Play will wrap up tomorrow as State will play its final matches of the 2013 calendar year.
