Pack Readies for ITA Kick Off Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's tennis team, ranked 41st in the country according to ITA tennis, will travel to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the 2013 ITA Kick Off Weekend. The Wolfpack is seeded third in its bracket and will face No. 36 Louisville on Friday at 9 a.m.
State is one of 60 schools that will be competing in the fifth annual ITA Kick Off Weekend, with 15 universities around the country serving as host sites. The hosts are the top-seeded teams at each site and are joined by three other teams.
The Pack will be joined at its site by host and top-seeded Ole Miss Rebels, second-ranked Louisville Cardinals and third-ranked Columbia Lions. The winners at each site will advance to the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Washington, Feb. 15-18.
The Wolfpack enters the weekend with a record of 2-0 in dual-matches, after defeating Penn State on Saturday and No. 22 Indiana on Monday. Freshman Thomas Weigel has played well for the Pack, collecting singles wins in both matches.
