RALEIGH, N.C.-- NC State head swimming and diving coach Braden Holloway, has wasted no time in putting his stamp on the program by bringing in a top tier recruiting class. The Wolfpack's incoming men's class is ranked 25th nationally, according to the CollegeSwimming.com recruiting ranks.
The Pack recruited locally and internationally with recruits ranging from North Carolina to Lithuania. Charles Retter, Austin Snyder, Reed Wheeler, and Ryan WIlkinson are from North Carolina, while Jason Deana and Christian McCurdy join the team from Pennsylvania. Louis Wojciechowski is from California and Simonas Bilis hails from Lithuania.
"We're definitely thrilled about the first recruiting class of a new era here at NC State," said Holloway. "Not only did we get some great character guys, but also highly motivated individuals that chose NC State for the right reasons and want to be a part of molding the program into something special."
Bilis, Deana, McCurdy, Wheeler, Wilkinson, and Wojciechowski are the short distance swimmers while Austin Snyder is the mid to long distance specialist. Retter is the lone diver in the signing class.
"There's alot of talent in this class and we're just looking forward to working with these individuals and bringing the best out of them," Holloway said. "Hats off to our recruiting coordinator coach Todd DeSorbo and coach Mallory Houchin for their efforts on bringing in a great recruiting class."
