Albin Choi Completes Play at Canadian Open

ANCASTER, Ontario - NC State rising junior Albin Choi completed his 2012 RBC Canadian Open experience on Sunday by shooting 2-over 72 at Hamilton Golf & Country Club.
The Wolfpack All-American shot back-to-back weekend rounds of 72 to finish up tied for 73rd at 1-over 281 (69-68-72-72).
Choi, who made his first career tour cut in just his second attempt, was tied for 39th after 36 holes on Friday. He ended up with the third best score among the five Canadian players that made it to the weekend.
Tim Clark was the top finisher among the four current and former NC State players in the field. The South African, who tied the course record with a 62 on Friday, posted a final-round 3-under 67 to finish up at 9-under and tied for 15th.
Garth Mulroy, who also went low on Friday with a 63, finished tied for 42nd at 4-under-par.
Matt Hill, the current money leader on the Canadian Tour, finished tied for 75th at 3-over-par.
Choi's busy summer continues with the U.S. Amateur Championship beginning August 13 at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colo.
