Albin Choi Plays Well in First Round of Canadian Open

ANCASTER, Ontario - NC State rising junior Albin Choi shot a 1-under 69 and is tied for 39th after Thursday's opening round of the RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf & Country Club.
Making just his second appearance on the PGA TOUR, the local native from Toronto amassed three birdies to get to 3-under-par, but gave back a couple strokes with bogeys at holes 16 and 18 .
Fellow countryman and 2009 NCAA champion Matt Hill and Tim Clark both shot even-par 72 and are tied for 66th.
Rounding out the Wolfpack quartet in the field, Garth Mulroy finished at 3-over 73 and is tied for 128th.
Choi begins round two from tee No. 10 at 9:10 a.m.
