Chad Day Selected An All-America Scholar Again

NORMAN, Okla. - Chad Day was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar on Wednesday for his work on the course and in the classroom during the 2011-12 season.
This marks the second-straight season that the Raleigh native has landed on the list of the top student-athletes in the collegiate ranks of men's golf.
Day finished third on the Wolfpack squad this past season with a career-low scoring average of 73.8 during his senior campaign. His 73.4 scoring average in the spring was second only to All-American Albin Choi.
He was State's second-best competitor at both the ACC and NCAA Regional in Ann Arbor.
A total of 146 players in Division I earned the honor.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.
A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
