Men's Tennis Travels to Wake Forest Tuesday

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 36 NC State men’s tennis team will play its final road match of the season on Tuesday as it travels to Winston-Salem, N.C., for a 3 p.m. match at Wake Forest.
The Wolfpack (16-8 overall, 2-6 ACC) is coming off a split with ACC foes Boston College and Maryland over the weekend. Wake Forest (11-12, 2-6) swept those same two teams by identical 4-3 scores.
State picked up a pair of victories from each of its three seniors as No. 35 Jaime Pulgar, Dominic Hodgson and Julian Sullivan all won in the top three singles in the 7-0 win over the Eagles and the 3-4 loss to Maryland.
With his two victories, Pulgar is 17-4 on the season and has moved into seventh place in school history with a total of 72 career singles wins.
Pulgar is also ranked third all-time with 60 career doubles victories. Pulgar, playing primarily with freshman Robbie Mudge, is 16-4 in doubles action this season.
Sullivan (13-6, 4-4) has established career highs for overall and ACC wins this season, while Hodgson has a career-high five ACC wins on the season.
Head coach Jon Choboy’s team is looking for its second conference road win of the season after winning at Miami on March 23.
The Wolfpack will play its final two home matches of the season this weekend as it hosts Georgia Tech on Friday at 3 p.m. and Clemson on Sunday at noon at the Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Outdoor Tennis Stadium. Admission is free for all spectators.
