
Men's Golf Places Ninth at ACC Championship

ACC Championship Results
NEW LONDON, N.C. – The NC State men’s golf team fired a final-round team score of 11-over 299, and finished the event at 8-over 872 to finish ninth at the ACC Championship on Sunday at Old North State Club.
Junior All-American Mitchell Sutton tied for the Wolfpack’s best round of the day with a 2-over 74 and wound up tied for 21st at 1-over 217 for the championship.
Senior Chad Day struggled with a 5-over 77 on Sunday, and placed in a tie for 29th at 3-over 219.
Senior Mark McMillen, a day removed from shooting 67, recorded the other 2-over 74, and wound up tied for 32nd at 4-over 220.
Sophomore All-American Albin Choi had a 4-over 76, and tied for 41st at 5-over 221.
Senior Graham Baillargeon shot a 3-over 75, his best round of the tournament to place 52nd at 11-over 227.
Georgia Tech cruised to its fourth-straight conference championship, finishing at -27. Virginia was second, and Florida State placed third.
Virginia’s Ben Rusch tied for the best round of the day on Sunday with a 69 to win the individual ACC title at 10-under 206. Lee Bedford (Wake Forest) finished one-shot behind, and Blake Redmond (Virginia Tech) was third at -8.
