FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - NC State sophomore Jonathan Boffa took 26th place in the 200 freestyle at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship on Friday.
Boffa swam a time of 1:36.35 in the event, just shy of his personal best time of 1:36.26, which is also the second best all-time mark in program history.
Boffa will compete in the 100 freestyle on Saturday, the final day of the meet. He owns the 14th-best time in that event this year, with his time of 43.05, which he set at the Ohio State Last Ditch meet.
Boffa's time of 43.05 broke a 19 year old school record that was held by Olympian David Fox.
