RICHMOND, VA. - The No. 37 Wolfpack women's tennis team was topped by No. 40 Virginia Commonwealth University, 6-1, at the Thalhimer Tennis Center in Richmond, Va. NC State moves to 3-2 with the loss.
Sophomore Joelle Kissell picked up the lone win for the team in singles action, topping Alex Bara 4-6, 7-5, 2-1, before Bara conceded the match due to an injury default.
The Wolfpack will return to action next weekend in Wisconsin. NC State will take on DePaul on Saturday, Feb. 11, in Madison, Wisc., before facing Wisconsin on Sunday.
