NC State To Play USF, Minnesota

RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 46 NC State women's tennis team will return home this weekend after a five game road swing. The Wolfpack (3-4) will take on No. 39 South Florida (3-2)at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, before facing Minnesota (3-1) on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. Both matches will be held at the J.W. Isenhower Tennis Center.
NC State will be led by No. 52 Joelle Kissell, who has only lost two singles matches so far this season, the first to No. 78 Anastasia Erofeeva of Tulsa, and the second, a three-set dual with Jasmine Kling of DePaul. Doubles team Tatiana Illova and Elisha Hande, who joined the rankings for the first time this season at No. 34, will also look to contribute.
The Wolfpack will look to pick up its first win against the Bulls, who have won the previous six meetings. Ecaterina Vasenina, ranked No. 26 in the latest ITA poll, will lead South Florida. NC State and Minnesota have played each other four times, with each team having picked up two wins.
The match against USF will serve as Student Appreciation Night. There will be a Carolina Hurricanes ticket giveaway, and snacks will be provided. The competition versus Minnesota will be Campus Kids' Day. There will be a paddleball game giveaway, a poster making station, snacks and a post-match clinic. Fans will also receive free admission to the NC State baseball game that night.
