RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women’s tennis team polished off an outstanding combined effort in the classroom for the fall 2012 semester, finishing the first half of the year with a team grade-point average of 3.65.
In addition to competing in four tournaments, traveling to Georgia, Tennessee and New York among other places, each member of the squad was able to embody the role of a successful student-athlete.
"They worked very hard in the classroom this semester and their efforts paid off with this tremendous team result,” said head coach Hans Olsen. “The team is passionate about their academic pursuits and they reap the rewards of learning at the highest level. I am very proud of the effort our team gave to their academic performance for the fall semester."
The team combined for a total of 15 A’s, with each member of the team contributing at least one perfect grade among their courses.
The Pack will open its season Jan. 31 at 4 p.m., when it hosts East Carolina at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
