RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State swimmer Zina Grogg has been selected as the CollegeSwimming.com Female Swimmer of the Week for her performance at last weekend's meet against Duke and Miami.
Grogg, a junior from Moon Township, Pa., finished first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.93 and stopped the clock at 55.40 in the 100 butterfly, claiming first in the event as well.
In addition, Grogg swam the butterfly leg on the 200-medley relay team that finished first, completing her swim with a time of 24.24 seconds. The Pennsylvania native was also an integral part of the first place 400 freestyle relay team, completing her leg in 51.93 seconds.
State returns to action on Nov. 15 at the Nike Cup Invitational, held in Chapel Hill, N.C.
