Men's Golf Hosts Wolfpack Intercollegiate This Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's golf team is hosting the annual Wolfpack Intercollegiate Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
This is the third fall event hosted by NC State since the opening of Lonnie Poole Golf Course, a track that has consistently ranked among the top collegiate courses in the last three years.
36 holes will be conducted on Friday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Saturday will also begin at 8 a.m., with tee times of holes 1 and 10.
The Wolfpack won the inaugural event in 2010 when then freshman Albin Choi won his first collegiate tournament. The Toronto native finished at 6-under 207 back when the course played as a par-71. NC State finished the event at 8-under 844, four shots in front of Duke. Wake Forest was third.
2011 champion Memphis is back to defend its title after winning with a score of 9-over 861. Individual champ Robert Hoadley from UNCG also returns to defend his title. He shot a 54-hole score of 4-under 209.
The event is free to all spectators this weekend.
NOTE: Lonnie Poole Golf Course is now a par 72 layout; the previous two tournaments played as a par 71
