RALEIGH, N.C. -- Four NC State men's tennis players will be among the more than 300 college players who will participate over the next week at the ITA All-American Championships, which begins with the prequalifying rounds on Saturday in Tulsa, Okla.
Junior Matt Thomson, sophomore Ivan Sanchez Gomez and freshman Austin Powell will participate in the prequalifying stage of the nine-day tournament on Saturday.
Senior Dominic Hodgson will begin play in the qualifying bracket on Monday at the University of Tulsa's Case Tennis Center. Last fall, Hodgson won two of his three matches in the qualifying round, losing in the final round of the stage.
The main draw of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams begins on Thursday.
In the doubles brackets, which begins Tuesday, Hodgson and Thomson will play together, while Gomez and Powell will compete as a team.
"This is a very prestigious tournament and will be a good experience for our guys," said NC State head coach Jon Choboy. "Dominic was successful there last year and we are hoping for good results from him and the rest of the guys this week."
Live stats and live video will be available throughout the tournament, via this link.
All results and information about the Wolfpack's progress at the meet will be available on GoPack.com.
